Note - Contrary to popular belief, it is NOT 'King Tides' that create these monster waves. It's when there are offshore storms, local onshore winds or a mix of the right conditions. Always look for 'High Surf Warnings' in your weather app to plan your day, not a King Tide which is just a higher tide than usual and many times causes flooding and lack of beach access.
